Aussie Ark is located in the Barrington Tops and can be accessed by road via Scone, Muswellbrook or Gloucester.

Please allow for at least 1.5 -2 hours driving time from any of these locations to arrive at Aussie Ark.

The roads leading to Aussie Ark are unsealed and generally well graded, but can be steep and winding in a few places. 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended but not essential. Wildlife spotting is fantastic along the drive to Aussie Ark.

Extreme care should be taken by drivers at all times; and dawn, dusk and night driving in the areas should be avoided due to wildlife crossing roads.

Mobile phone reception along the route is limited after Moonan Flat or Gloucester.

If you are using Google Maps,  set your destination as ‘Corner of Pheasant Creek Road and Tomalla Road’, as there are road signs from that point directing you to Aussie Ark.

We encourage visitors unfamiliar with the area to print a route map prior to departure or save driving directions as an image on your mobile phone before you depart Moonan Flat or Gloucester.
