Can I buy souvenirs and gifts at Devil's Ark?

A curated selection of Devil Ark brand merchandise is also available to purchase from our onsite shop. Payment by cash or card is accepted and Eftpos is available. Please note we do not offer ‘cash out’ facilities at Aussie Ark.

Are there food & drinks available to purchase onsite?

Aussie Ark is a wildlife conservation organisation located in a remote location. Our staff will prepare a barbecue daily, and for a small additional cost you can buy sausage/steak sandwiches and cheeseburgers. We also sell a limited range of snacks, like potato chips, muffins, cookies, lolly bags, zooper doopers, bottled water and cans of soft drink. Complimentary tea and coffee are available on site. Merchandise is also available onsite and eftpos facilities available. Cash out facilities are not available.

What should we bring?

Our onsite facilities are rudimentary, and our guests are encouraged to come prepared with the following basic essentials: Sunscreen and hat Suitable outdoor walking clothes and shoes First aid kit and personal/medical needs Spending money to use if you so choose

Where can we stay closeby?

You can stay in one of our cottages Quoll's Cottage or Devil's Retreat ! They're only about 11km from Devil's Ark. If they're not available you could also try Moonan Flat Pub! As a landmark pub in the Hunter Valley, the Moonan Flat Pub offers a rustic aesthetic with a rich history to tell. What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy aims to provide flexibility for our guests while ensuring we can continue our vital conservation work. Cancellations 14 days or more before check-in: Full refund of the booking amount. Cancellations 7 to 13 days before check-in: Refund of 50% of the booking amount. Cancellations less than 7 days before check-in: No refund. Rescheduling Guests may request to reschedule their booking without penalty if the request is made at least 7 days before check-in . Rescheduling is subject to availability. No-shows If you do not check in on the scheduled date and have not contacted us, the booking will be treated as a cancellation with no refund issued. Special Circumstances We recognise that unforeseen events can occur. If you need to cancel due to illness, natural disasters, or other emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible. Refunds or credits in such cases will be considered at our discretion. Travel Insurance We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations or changes to your plans.

Yes, come stay with us and take more time to explore the stunning Barrington Tops region. Consider staying at one of our 2 houses, Quoll’s Cottage or Devil’s Retreat, as all our accommodation packages include a Devils in the Wild Tour just for guests. Alternatively, check out online accommodation options nearby in the Tops, Scone, Gloucester, Muswellbrook, Aberdeen and Moonan Flat, where you can stay and explore the area.

What should I wear on a tour?

Aussie Ark and the Barrington Tops can be muddy, dusty and dry during different times of the year. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, and always check the weather before arrival! Temperatures can range from the high 30’s (c) in summer, to near zero with snow, in winter! At an elevation of 1,350 metres, temperatures differ to those at the base of the mountains, so be sure to keep this in mind before you embark on your journey to visit us!
